Special Notice to Parents:

Currently in Social Studies we are learning about communities.  The students have been learning how and why people from many different cultures live and work together.  Next week we will be concluding two of our projects for class, and having a small class party to celebrate.

On Monday, August 31st we will be having a “Celebrating My Culture” celebration!  During this week students will be working on pamphlets showing insights into their local communities in Thailand.  Later this week we will be making posters that celebrate some of the customs and traditions of our diverse cultures!

The celebration will be held from 7:45 am until 9:18 am, we will be celebrating the various cultures of both classes with two small class parties and presentations.   The presentations will consist of wearing a cultural costume and presenting their poster to the class.  After the presentations we will be having a variety of snacks and food from our pot-luck.

Parents are welcome to attend and encouraged to prepare snacks and goodies that the class may enjoy together.

(Note) this is a very small celebration.  Small snacks are fine =)
