I think today I racked up quite a bit of Frequent Flyer Miles during our “Cultural Celebration!” It was wonderful learning about all the different

cultures that make up grade 3! I love the diversity that we have in the class but at the same time I am encouraged that we are still one class and we work together! So, here’s to you Grade 3!
I also wish to thank all the parents that came out to support the class! You really did inspire the students to do their best! Thanks also, for all the yummy food and goodies that were brought in! I think my stomach has become even more culturally aware than I thought possible =)
There is so much more coming up this year and I am very thankful for all of you that are willing to put in your time and support of grade 3! I know this will be a great year and I look forward to seeing you again soon!

Parents
Lastly, if you take a look at the new parent volunteer page you will see a sign up list to become a Parent Reader. Each Monday we will be looking for a parent to come in and read to either 3A or 3B. This will help grade 3 develop listening and comprehension skills. Students will be given a worksheet with questions to answer based on what was read during the time. If you would be intrerested please reply on the parent volunteer page.
Here are some more pictures of today’s celebration;

Looks like we are moving right along in Language Arts and Social Studies! We have just finished up learning about the types of sentences, and are now looking at complete and simple subjects. Remember the song: First thing you look for is the verb! *clap, clap
This coming Monday don’t forget our “Cultural Celebration” celebration! Check out the Reminders link for more information.
I hope everyone is having a great time, and I want to thank all you parents for the support and helpful comments =) I will be looking for some volunteers that would be interested in coming in and doing a reading activity with the class next month. I will be picking out a couple of books that we can read as a class, and we would love to have some parents come in and do some reading for us! If you are interested please reply below or send me a note.
Kind Regards,
Nathan
